There is an inclusive and positive culture of continuous learning and improvement. This is based on meeting the needs of people who use services and wider communities, and all leaders and staff share this. Leaders proactively support staff and collaborate with partners to deliver care that is safe, integrated, person-centred and sustainable, and to reduce inequalities.
There are effective governance and management systems. Information about risks, performance and outcomes is used effectively to improve care.
At The Vesey we are committed to working with, and supporting our local communities, businesses and education institutes. We have successfully established mutually beneficial relationships within the local community (including alliances and networks), enabling them to share good practice, expertise and/or resources.
This is why we have developed:
Medical and Business work experience placements for students of Arthur Terry Learning Partnership & Bishop Vesey's Grammar School. We support the British Heart Foundation as our principal charity partner and are part of the Birmingham City community partnership with BCFC. We have been principal sponsor of the Royal Sutton Fun Run and Sutton United Football Club. We also support a children's (6+) boxing academy with Manning Gym in Stirchley, Birmingham.
We have a network of partner pharmacies and optometry practices, so patients can access support and advice of mutual expertise. We value collaboration and partnership working and are committed to continually expanding our work with others in our community.
We have a partner network of clinics, bringing smooth and streamlined pathways for our patients including collaborating with Laserskin UK
We actively contribute to regional healthcare professional education with our clinical education training events programme and understand the benefits of community engagement and partnership working, regularly reviewing our impact and seek to continually improve our engagement and support.
