Dr Eleftheriadou is a Consultant Dermatologist and the Lead for the Vitiligo Clinic and Research, for adult and paediatric patients at Walsall Healthcare & The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trusts.
She is a substantive Consultant and treats patients with any skin problems and rashes on the NHS, including eczema, psoriasis, skin cancer, acne.
She is a world-renowned expert, multi award winning dermatologist, who believes in bringing together clinical excellence, education, and research, to optimise the delivery of outstanding, compassionate, safe, and effective healthcare.
She was awarded an NIHR funded, PhD in Clinical dermatology entitled "Setting priorities and reducing uncertainties for the treatment of vitiligo, at the Centre of Evidence Based Dermatology, University of Nottingham, in 2013.
Prof Eleftheriadou has published over 60 peer reviewed articles and, in total, accrued grant funding of almost �2.3 million. She has presented her work at national and international conferences and has received invitations from the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) and the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV) to present her work at AAD and EADV Annual meetings.
Prof Eleftheriadou is a Honorary Associate Professor - Institute of Applied Health Research, College of Medical and Dental Sciences, University of Birmingham, UK
She is a Section Editor for the British Journal of Dermatology- one of the top 3 Dermatological Journals in the world.
She is passionate about education and frequently delivers lectures to Consultant Dermatologists, Associate Specialists in Dermatology and GPs, on vitiligo and other dermatological disorders, at courses such as the Annual UK Dermatology Course for Consultants, which is organised by the British Association of Dermatologists.
